Project Manager| Full-Time | Immediate Opening

Rouse Consulting Group (RCG) is seeking a dynamic Project Manager (PM) to manage a wide variety of projects with for our diverse client base. The PM is responsible for ensuring projects remain within scope, assigning team resources, maintaining schedules, and proactively identifying risks. In addition, the PM takes on ownership of projects and guides them to success by achieving each milestone on time and within the allocated budget. As the primary client liaison with RCG, the PM provides timely and accurate communication throughout the life of a project.

The position requires excellent organization skills to navigate among competing priorities, strong verbal and written communication skills, impeccable follow-through, and the ability to travel to client locations if needed.

A qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, professional, engaging, and a fluent multi-tasker.

This is not a remote worker opportunity. The PM will be working alongside the rest of our Professional Services team out of our headquarters in Moline, IL.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with detailed oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Create project schedules and monitor project progress to make sure resources and budget remain aligned for on-time delivery of the project scope.
  • Regularly communicate project expectations, schedule, and status to clients and internal team members.
  • Assign and verify the status of project tasks with technical personnel while ensuring all team members are actively working toward established milestones.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any project-related questions or challenges.
  • Establish a communication cadence with the client to keep them updated about project status and discuss potential risks or concerns.
  • Flag additional scope items and change requests as opportunities for new project phases to prevent scope creep and maintain project delivery expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Inquisitive desire to learn about technology and how it aligns with client business needs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability for project success.

Network Engineer | Full-Time | Immediate Opening

Salary commensurate to experience. Rouse Consulting Group, Inc. (RCG), a local, service-based, IT consulting firm and Managed Service Provider, is currently seeking a full time Network Engineer to work as a key member of its support team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The support of desktops and servers including application connectivity.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Determine the best solution based on the issue, details provided by customer, and best practice documents.
  • Work with the customer through the problem-solving process using remote access software. Advising and implementing system enhancements (software and hardware updates).
  • Document and record troubleshooting steps and resolution through a ticketing system.
  • Follow up and update customer on status and resolution.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 plus years of system administration experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of current Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments and/or trends.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-v, VMWare, Etc…) is a plus
  • Experience with switching and firewall is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft server related technologies: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.

PC Deployment Technician | Full-Time | Immediate Opening

Summary

Rouse Consulting Group (RCG) is seeking a dedicated PC Deployment Technician (PCDT). The PCDT is responsible for the initial image installation and/or setup of all new PCs, laptops, tablets, and supporting equipment. In addition, the PCDT takes on ownership of deployment projects from the point the equipment arrives to the follow-up verification that all is well after onsite delivery. As the primary client liaison with RCG, the PCDT provides timely and professional communication throughout the life of a deployment project.

The position requires excellent organization skills to navigate among competing priorities, strong verbal and written communication skills, impeccable follow-through, and the ability to travel to client locations as needed.

  • Perform all necessary setup of new computers and other hardware to the standards established for each client environment ensuring uniform and consistent deployment of all equipment.
  • Work with the client to schedule and deliver equipment and verify it is all working properly, including client-specific software.
  • Schedule a next-day follow-up with clients after delivering equipment to verify everything is working as expected and address any concerns utilizing remote connectivity tools or by traveling back onsite.
  • Perform complete system restores on assigned computers and follow the same process for computer delivery and work documentation as for new equipment.
  • Document all work performed and record the time invested on the corresponding project tickets and promptly update the status of the tickets.
  • Assist other team members as needed with the support of client desktops and servers, including application connectivity, network infrastructure, and software.
  • Determine the best course of action for incident resolution or escalation based on the issue, details provided by the client, best practice documents, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain a continuous dialog with clients on incident status and resolution.
  • Actively maintain documentation of client information on a continual basis in our documentation system.
  • Participate in the afterhours on-call support rotation (unless explicitly excluded).
  • Complete 16 hours of approved continuing professional development training per calendar year.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hardware technician experience preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
